Corp is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Plant
Control Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate
is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and
optimization of electrical control systems in an industrial plant.
This role ensures the efficient operation, automation, and safety
of electrical systems, including power distribution, PLCs, SCADA,
motor controls, and instrumentation. You will work alongside
cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation of high-tech
machinery and electrical systems, contributing to our mission of
providing top-quality banknotes and security products. The engineer
goals of this role are to enhance system reliability and minimize
downtime. Key Responsibilities: Electrical Control System Design &
Development. Design, develop, and optimize electrical control
systems for plant automation. Program and configure PLC
(Programmable Logic Controllers), and HMI (Human-Machine Interface)
for process control. Develop electrical schematics, control panel
layouts, and wiring diagrams using CAD tools (AutoCAD Electrical).
Implement motor control circuits (VFDs, soft starters, contactors,
and relays) to enhance system efficiency. Create and/or maintain
electrical schematics, technical drawings, and documentation for
system design and troubleshooting System Monitoring,
Troubleshooting & Maintenance. Perform diagnostics,
troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of electrical control
failures. Provide technical support to the production team,
including troubleshooting and advice on system functionality.
Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance of electrical systems
to minimize downtime. Support instrumentation calibration for
process control sensors and actuators. Plant Automation & Process
Optimization. Identify and implement automation improvements to
increase plant efficiency and reliability. Optimize power usage and
load balancing to reduce energy costs. Monitor and analyze plant
performance data to suggest continuous improvement initiatives.
Compliance, Safety & Documentation Ensure adherence to electrical
codes and safety standards (NEC, NFPA 70E, IEC, OSHA). Maintenance
an arc flash program. Develop and maintain technical documentation,
electrical drawings, and SOPs for control systems. Train
maintenance and operations staff on safe operation and
troubleshooting of control systems. Project Management &
Cross-Functional Collaboration. Lead or assist in capital projects,
system upgrades, and new equipment installations. Work closely with
mechanical, process, and electrical engineers to integrate
automation solutions. Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and
utility providers for system upgrades and installation. Required
Skills & Qualifications: Technical Skills: PLC Programming &
Troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, and Siemens). At the minimum, the
candidate should be proficiency in Allen-Bradley PLC & HMI
Automation platform. Motor Controls & Drives (VFDs, soft starters,
servo systems). Industrial Networks & Communication Protocols
(Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus). Familiar with Electrical Power
Distribution Systems (480V 3-phase system). Instrumentation &
Sensors (Flow meters, pressure transmitters, temperature
controllers). CAD Software for electrical design (AutoCAD
Electrical, EPLAN). Project management skills to handle multiple
automation and electrical control projects Strong problem-solving
skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Attention to detail
and a strong commitment to safety and quality Education &
Experience: Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation,
Control Systems, or a related field. 2-5 years of experience in
plant electrical control systems, automation. Experience or having
working in industrial environments such as manufacturing.
