Job Description:
At US Foods, a leading foodservice distributor, we are seeking
an experienced Senior Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our
fleet of trucks, which are crucial in the delivery of high-quality
food products to our broad range of customers. This role requires a
deep understanding of diesel engine operations and a commitment to
upholding the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Perform
detailed inspections and diagnostic tests on various makes and
models of diesel trucks to identify any faults. Carry out routine
maintenance and emergency repairs, ensuring all vehicles are
operational and safe. Manage inventory of parts and tools, and
order new supplies as needed. Maintain logs of repairs and
services, following compliance standards. Lead a team of junior
mechanics by providing training and support. Expert knowledge of
diesel engine components and systems. Ability to use diagnostic
tools and software effectively. Strong problem-solving abilities.
