IMMEDIATE NEED " Wyndham Mills Intl seeks for one of its clients a Geotechnical Engineering Project Manager with a focus on transportation. The ideal candidate will have NCDOT experience but candidates with experience with other state DOTs and who might be interested in relocation to North Carolina will be considered. The position could be located in either the Greensboro, Charlotte or Raleigh, NC metropolitan areas. Responsibilities: When hired for this position you will have both technical and project management responsibilities. You will serve as technical leader/manager of DOT assignments and perform geotechnical engineering designs involving roadway and structure foundations designs and subsurface investigations. You will have strong technical skills including the performance of shallow and deep foundation analysis, slope stability analysis, ground improvement techniques, and seismic and liquefaction analyses. You will interact with clients, be involved with proposal activities, oversee internal staff involved with DOT assignments as well as maintain relationships with key client (DOT) staff. Qualifications: Must hold a BSCE degree; MSCE with a focus on geotechnical engineering would be a plus. Must hold a PE license in North Carolina or have the ability to obtain an NC PE license through reciprocity within six (6) months of start date. PE licenses in South Carolina and Virginia would be a plus. Seven (7) or more years of progressive geotechnical engineering and project management experience with a focus on state departments of transportation. Must possess intermediate to advanced computer skills (MS Office and relevant technical software required, gINT and MicroStation are preferred), including the ability to learn various types of company/client software. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Is results-oriented with superior skills in organization, planning, and attention to detail. Strong leadership and personnel management skills. Is proactive in the advancement of business development. You may be called upon to interact and support other company operations as necessary. Additional Requirements: Must be able to pass company drug screen, background check and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company's driving policy.
