Job Description Executing business plan and evaluating progress
against mutually agreed upon growth targets with respect to revenue
and market share through sales forecasts and pipeline
activities.Duties/Activities Required by Job
Directly oversees all aspects of operations within the assigned
processing plants including catching and hauling, harvesting, and
processing, shipping and distribution, maintenance, and
engineering.
Upholds safety and quality programs.
Assesses and identifies associated activities across processing
plant programs and people to maximize production. Develops and
maintains project plans, including scope, costs, resources, and
timing. Utilizing Agristats, financial reports and in-depth HACCP
knowledge and experience, along with USDA Regulations, develops
process improvements to increase level of service, utilizing
business and technical resources. Develops, manages, and maintains
ongoing work plans and coordinating schedules and activities.
Directs and guides staff for development to increase competency and
commitment. Directs and enforces a detailed safety plan for
plants.Education/Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred (Agriculture,
Operations Management, Business) experience will be considered in
lieu of degree. 10-15 years demonstrated management experience,
must include successful track record managing a full manufacturing
operation with progression in size and scope (up to 2,000
employees), previous poultry experience preferred, previous
manufacturing management experience required if no poultry. Must
include 5 years' experience managing support departments -
Maintenance, housekeeping, security, coolers, shipping. In depth
experience with financial analysis in an operations setting
(Agristats), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) in
depth knowledge and experience.
In depth knowledge of USDA regulations on sanitation and
pre-operations guidelines.
Responsible for guiding and maintaining relationship with
regulatory agencies - USDA and other.
