Job Description:

Duties: Serves as member of a team that supports and maintains security

master reference and pricing data for Fidelity’s Brokerage platform.

Supports enhancements to the existing system and develops new

applications. Provides business solutions by developing complex or

multiple software applications. Supports a next generation data

management layer within Fidelity’s Brokerage platform.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going

development efforts.

• Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in

multiple platforms.

• Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several

divisional initiatives.

• Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to

implementation.

• Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance

testing.

• Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications

supporting several corporate initiatives.

• Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

• Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

• Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a

project.

• Performs independent and complex technical and functional

analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in

Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information

Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3)

years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience

performing Java-based web application and web services development,

including server-side scripting and Big Data development; Or,

alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in

Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information

Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1)

year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience

performing Java-based web application and web services development,

including server-side scripting and Big Data development. Candidate must

also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing and developing

solutions for mobile, web, and desktop applications using client side

technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, JSP, and Angular JS)

incorporating Spring MVC/Struts framework; DE designing and developing

RESTFUL web services incorporating Data Access Objects; performing

application build, deployment, and support, using Maven, Ant, and

Continuous Integration tools; and designing and maintaining tables and

complex stored procedures in an Oracle application production

environment; DE designing and developing applications using core Java

and other Java frameworks (Struts, Spring MVC, and Spring Boot),

performing integration utilizing Drools for rule management and Junit

for unit testing, and utilizing BASH/Python scripts for server side

scripting; DE designing, developing, and integrating applications using

Big Data technologies -- Hadoop, Hive, Spark and Kafka -- using Python

and Scala programming languages; and building processes supporting data

transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload

management.
