Job Description:
Provides technical leadership and partners with Enterprise Infrastructure team to expand current Infrastructure as a
Service (IaaS) offerings. Defines operational standard for hosting applications
in private and external cloud (AWS and Azure). Analyzes historical
incident data to automate resolution of incidents. Runs proof of concepts
for new technologies in middleware space. Analyzes and recommends
changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and
strategies to development experts and management. Primary Responsibilities: • Participates in architecture design teams. • Defines and implements application level architecture. • Develops applications on complex projects, components,
and subsystems for the division. • Ensures design meets performance, security, usability, reliability, and scalability requirements. • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple
applications or subsystems. • Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex
projects across multiple platforms. • Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and
on-budget. • Establishes standards and guidelines for monitoring to
ensure instant incident detection in production. • Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments
for multiple projects. • Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve
various project/technology issues. • Provides technology solutions to daily issues and
technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives. • Advises senior management on technical strategy. • Mentors junior team members. • Performs independent and complex technical and
functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives. • Develops original and creative technical solutions to
on-going development efforts. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of
experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience designing,
implementing, and supporting middleware infrastructure technologies within a
multiple datacenter model for financial services; Or, alternatively, a Master’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and
three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of
experience designing, implementing, and supporting middleware
infrastructure technologies within a multiple datacenter model for financial
services. Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DEâ€) delivering and provisioning
Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) within a private and public cloud; and
developing and maintaining blue/green deployment capabilities in production
and managed environments for high volume online personal
investment transaction processing applications, using Groovy, Python, Chef,
UNIX shell scripts, and uDeploy; DE performing Splunk administration within a large financial
enterprise; providing production support and monitoring highly available
WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and WSO2 API Manager, including
writing install/packaging framework scripts and generating reports using
Splunk; and analyzing and troubleshooting production issues using
Dynatrace, Gomez, Truesight, and JVM Heap/Thread dumps; DE implementing and maintaining Akamai Content Delivery Network
(CDN) for static content acceleration and Web Application Firewall
(WAF); maintaining Application Security Module (ASM) in F5 Load
balancers to prevent and mitigate DDOS attacks; and setting up F5 load
balancing devices in a multi-datacenter high availability model with
session affinity and persistence; DE performing middleware configuration, tuning, and
troubleshooting of iPlanet, Apache, WebSphere Message Broker, and eXtreme Scale
Grids; hosting online personal investing applications using OpenShift
Container management; and automating administration and deployment
