SummaryShift ---8,9 or 10 hour shifts with one weekend commitment a
monthThe Duke Blood Cancer Center is a unique outpatient infusion
treatment room providing care to Adult Hematologic--Malignancies,
Blood and Marrow Transplant, and CAR-T therapy patients. The
Treatment Room is a fast-paced day hospital with complex,
high-acuity patients and is open 365 days a year with 56 infusion
bays.Treatments administered include, but are not limited to:
- Administration of Blood and Marrow transplantation (autologous,
allogeneic, cord blood) and CAR-T (chimeric antigen receptor
therapy) infusions with pre and post monitoring
- Administration of chemotherapies for the treatment of Multiple
Myeloma, Leukemias, Lymphomas and scleroderma
- Supportive care including, but not limited to: blood product
transfusions, symptom management, IV hydration, electrolyte
supplementation, non-oncology medication administration, and
therapeutic phlebotomy--Highly qualified applicants will be
proficient in head-to-toe assessments, time management and critical
thinking skillsDegrees, Licensures, Certifications:--Current or
compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina required. BLS
required.--Occ SummaryIndependently plan and provide professional
nursing care for patients Board of Nursing. accordance with the
scope of the RN as defined by the North Carolina in accordance with
physician orders and established policies and procedures. Provide
nursing services to patients and families in--Work Performed--Plan,
provide, supervise and document professional nursing care Perform
other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Participate in own professional development by maintaining required

Qualifications----EducationWork requires graduation from an
accredited BSN program. Exception: Registered nurses hired between
July 1, 2014 and April 11, 2021 without a Bachelor's degree in
Nursing (or higher) are encouraged to enroll in an appropriate BSN
program within two years of their start date but must complete the
program within five years of their start date. Registered nurses
hired before July 1, 2014 are not required to enroll in a BSN
program to remain in this job classification.--Experience--Twelve
months of appropriate clinical experience is required. At a
manager's discretion, employees with 6 months of experience who are
exceptional performers may be eligible for this level.--Degrees,
Licensures, Certifications--Must have current or compact RN
