CenterJob DetailsWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Permanent Surgical Technician to join our dynamic and innovative
medical team. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a vital role
in assisting surgeons and other medical professionals during
surgical procedures. This is a permanent position in the medical
industry that offers excellent benefits and growth
opportunities.Responsibilities:
- Maintain a sterile field: As a Surgical Technician, you will be
responsible for ensuring a sterile environment in the operating
room. This includes preparing and sterilizing surgical instruments,
equipment, and supplies.
- Safe and correct instrumentation passing: You will assist
surgeons by passing them the correct instruments during procedures.
It is crucial to have a deep understanding of various surgical
instruments and their uses.
- Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts: During
surgeries, it is essential to keep track of all sponges, needles,
and instruments used. You will be responsible for counting and
documenting these items accurately to ensure patient safety.
- Prepare patients for surgery: You will assist in preparing
patients for surgery by positioning them on the operating table,
draping them with sterile coverings, and cleaning and disinfecting
the surgical site.
- Anticipate surgeon's needs: A successful Surgical Technician
should be able to anticipate the needs of the surgeon during
procedures. This includes having the necessary instruments and
supplies readily available and being able to quickly respond to
requests.
- Assist with patient care: In addition to providing support
during surgery, you will also assist with patient care before and
after procedures. This may include monitoring vital signs,
providing post-operative care, and ensuring patient comfort and
safety.Qualifications:
- BLS Certification: The ideal candidate must possess a valid
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. This certification ensures
that you have the necessary skills to respond to medical
emergencies and provide life-saving interventions.
- Maintains sterile field: You should have a strong understanding
of sterile techniques and be able to maintain a sterile field
throughout surgical procedures. This includes proper handling and
sterilization of instruments and supplies.
- Safe and correct instrumentation passing: Experience in safely
passing surgical instruments to surgeons is essential. You should
be familiar with various instruments and their uses in different
surgical procedures.
- Performs sponge, needle, and instrument counts: Accurate
counting and documentation of surgical items is crucial to patient
safety. You should have experience in performing sponge, needle,
and instrument counts during surgeries.
- 1+ years of experience: We require a minimum of 1 year of
experience as a Surgical Technician. This ensures that you have a
solid foundation of knowledge and skills in the operating
room.
- Strong attention to detail: Surgical procedures require
precision and attention to detail. You should have a keen eye for
detail and be able to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills: Effective communication is
crucial in the operating room. You should be able to communicate
clearly and efficiently with surgeons, nurses, and other members of
