Job Description:
This practical nursing role is based on a 20-bed telemetry unit
specializing in general and bariatric surgery patient care,
including ERAS patients.
Serves as an alternate for neuro/trauma, hospitalist/medicine,
urology, and other surgery patients.
Collaborates with RNs and physicians to collect data, plan,
implement, and evaluate patient care.
Provides age-appropriate care, contributes to care planning, and
identifies educational needs.
Implements prescribed treatments, administers medications, and
advocates for patients-------- rights.
Participates in performance improvement and team development
activities.
Requires graduation from an accredited practical nursing program,
licensure in Virginia, and BLS certification; de-escalation
training within four months.
Full-time evening/night shifts available.
