Job Description:
Must have experience in Perioperative ServicesPerioperative
Services is composed of Pre-Admission Testing, Preop (16 bays),
Operating Room (3 OR Rooms and a C-Section Room), Special
Procedures (3 procedure rooms) PACU/Recovery area (9 bays), and
Central Sterile( instruments are processed). We provide Surgical
Procedures for Cardiovascular, ENT, General, GI, Ophthalmology,
Ortho, Pain Management, Pulmonology, Urology. Currently we see
about 350 patients a month. We believe in teamwork and value every

ladder advancements, certification, and education.The Nurse
Clinician demonstrates a high level of expertise in the assessment,
diagnosis and treatment of the complex patients and their responses
to actual or potential health problems. This role assists the
health care team with the prevention of illness and injury,
maintenance of wellness, and provision of comfort. The Nurse
Clinician provides direction, education, leadership and
accountability for program development, implementation and
evaluation in area of responsibility. This role includes
professional development and empowerment of staff as well as
management of resources to promote desired outcomes with attention
to quality, efficiency and cost.Licensure, Certification, Or

or eligible or compact stateLicensure, Certification, Or

Licensure in VirginiaAHA BLS HCP Certification or

(orientation, preceptorship, in-services education, etc.)Academic
health care experienceEducation/training REQUIREDBachelor's degree
in nursing. Must be enrolled in a Master's degree program at the
time of application and must be complete within 36 months of hire.
Special consideration will be given for applicants enrolled in
Baccalaureate to Doctoral programs who will not attain a Master's
degree and may require longer than 36 months to complete the
terminal degree.Education/training PREFERREDMaster's Degree in
Nursing or a related field. If the master's degree is not in
Nursing, then it is required to have a Baccalaureate Degree in
NursingIndependent Action(s) RequiredHas full authority and
accountability for direction and leadership of program planning,
guideline development, setting of practice standards within the
confines of organizations/divisions/units mission, goals and
objectives.Manages human, fiscal and other resources to ensure
quality programs/processes/services with measurable positive

with immediate supervisor in collaboration with the Nurse
Manager.Additional Position RequirementsWill generally work day
shift, but may require flexibility for special projects or to meet
