Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS and ACLS required Must-Have: - Epic experience required - Must be comfortable working all PCU and MS units - Travelers are required to work at least one holiday per 13-week assignment, with exceptions for winter holidays Description: Resource Pool RN working three 12-hour night shifts. The schedule is from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. Traveling nurses may be pulled or floated to another unit every four hours as determined by hospital staffing needs. Patient ratios are 5:1 for PCU and 6 to 7:1 for MS. All requests for time off must be submitted upfront with application. Compliance documents are due the Wednesday prior to the start of the assignment. Travelers are not accepted if residing within 100 miles of the facility. Travelers who lived 50 miles away may be considered for one assignment at a lower rate with no eligibility to extend. Travelers previously employed must be away for at least one year before returning as a traveler. Travelers may not return after working a full assignment for 365 days, with exceptions reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Modules will be non-billable if completed within the first 24 hours of the nurse's onboarding, A total of five hours is allocated for orientation modules and two hours for Epic training. Modules can be completed before starting or during orientation, and hours may vary based on specialty. Hours are recorded and paid bi-weekly upon receipt of approved hours. Orientation consists of 24 hours, which is non-billable.
