Job Description Medasource is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Salem, Virginia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 08/04/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Unit Information: 631/ East Progressive Unit Location: LewisGale Medical Center Address: 1900 Electric Rd Floor: 3rd floor Building: Main Campus Salem General Information Tell us about the unit(s): · Number of Beds – 15 beds · Number of Staff – 22 (RN/PCT) · Type of staff: o Day Shift – 3-4RN, 2 PCT, 1 Clinical Coordinator o Night Shift – 3-4 RN 1 PCT · Patient Ratios – 4-5/1 · Type of equipment – Cardiac Telemetry, Chest tubes, Cardiac drips(NTG, Cardizem, Amiodarone), Post Cath Patients, post-surgical patients to include open heart, lung patients, general surgery patients, post op orthopedic patients that require cardiac monitoring. · EMR – Meditech PCU experience/n/n· Knowledge of cardiac rhythms and surgical patients/n/n· Chest tube management, epidurals/n/n/nPreferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first./n/n· Teamwork ability/n/n· Time management with high turnover of patients/n/n /n/nList typical procedures performed on unit(s): /n/n· Post cardiac cath, EP studies, device placements, groin management, chest tubes , post op surgical patients/n/n· Critical drips, epidurals, PCA/n/n /n/nBest personality Fit:/n/n· Outgoing, team oriented, willing to go above and beyond for patients/n/nREQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:/n/n· BLS & ACLS/n/n About Medasource - Here at Medasource, the heartbeat of healthcare meets boundless opportunities!
