Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: Registered Nurse from a compact state Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required Must-Have: Medical-surgical/acute care experience Description: Provides direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments. Documents patient care given. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer and discharge processes. Evaluates learning needs of patients and/or families and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
