ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Roanoke, Virginia. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 02/09/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: • Work as a Whole House Resource Pool RN floating between ICU, PCU, and Medical/Surgical units • 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM (4x12s available by request) • Must be comfortable working all three specialties with patient ratios: ICU 2:1, PCU 5:1, MS 6:1 (may flex to 7:1) • Float requirements: staffing needs re-evaluated every 4 hours, may float 2-3 times per shift • Weekend requirement: either every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in 6-week scheduling block • Must work one holiday per 13-week contract • EPIC charting experience required • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS • Clinical skills required: IV therapy, phlebotomy, arterial line management, central line care, blood product administration • Must be skilled in BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation • Experience with continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, cardiac/vasoactive drips, IV insulin protocols • Minimum 2 years ICU experience from large Level I/II facility required • 24 hours of orientation provided • Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period • Serves adult and geriatric patient populations Facility: This is a 703-bed acute care teaching hospital serving as the flagship facility of a major healthcare system.
