Registered Nurse (RN) | Operating Room Location: Salem, VA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,386 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified OR RN in Salem, Virginia, 24153! Job Title: Operating Room Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: OR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 - 17:15 Hours per Shift: 10.5 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required License: Active RN License required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Must have 2 years of experience. Experience in a Level II or higher facility preferred. Proficient in Ortho trauma, Crani procedures, Burr holes, Robotic General surgeries (Appendectomy, Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy), Cystoscopy, ENT, and Total Joints. Advanced skills needed in DaVinci robots. Description: The unit has 11 operating rooms and maintains a patient ratio of 1:1. Staffing includes unit secretaries and tech availability. Type of equipment includes Hanah Tables, Jackson tables, vascular beds, Cysto beds, and Robot beds. Documentation is completed using Meditech. Scheduling options include 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts. Staff is required to be on-call one night per week and half a weekend every eight weeks. Weekends consist of 48 hours, and a half weekend is 24 hours. A floating policy is in place. Patient experience requirements must be met. Procedures performed on the unit include Cystoscopy, Lumbar Laminectomy, Total Joints, Robotic General, Robotic GYN, ENT, Minimal Plastic Surgeries, and Breast Surgeries. Candidates should be aware of unit-specific policies and guidelines. This position is vacant and open for hiring.
