Opportunity – Orthopedic Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse – North
Carolina Start Date: February 23, 2026 Location: Winston-Salem,
North Carolina Compensation: Details provided to qualified
applicants Schedule: 12-hour day shifts; 36 or 48 hours per week
available; every other weekend required; block scheduling options
available (Friday/Saturday/Sunday or Saturday/Sunday/Monday)
Highlights: Fast-paced orthopedic and neuro spine unit with a focus
on post-surgical and pain management care Patient ratios of 5-6:1,
with occasional flex to 7:1 in extreme cases Epic EMR system;
charting experience required 13-week contract with up to 7 days
approved time off (excluding holidays and first week of
orientation) Floating to other medical-surgical units may be
required based on staffing needs and census Comprehensive
interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services,
pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with orthopedic unit
experience required Active North Carolina or Compact state RN
license (pending acceptable for submission; must be in hand by
start date) Epic EMR experience required; first-time travelers must
have Epic experience BLS and NIH Stroke Scale certification
required ACLS certification preferred Proficiency in IV starts and
telemetry monitoring required Experience with pain management
protocols, PCA pumps, blood product administration, and
central/peripheral line management Must pass EKG testing prior to
start date Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
