Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Location: Charlotte, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,161 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12hr Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in the same level CVICU License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Epic experience required Description: This facility has over 900 licensed beds. It holds a Level 1 Trauma Designation. It includes a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and is a Teaching Hospital. The unit has 14 beds with an average daily census of 11 patients. Patient demographics include Cardiac Surgery, ECMO, Orthotopic Heart Transplant, LVAD/RVAD, and Impella devices. The RN to patient ratio is 1:2. A CNA is available for every 14 patients. Required skills include experience with high-level cardiac surgery patients and associated devices. Teamwork and proactive care are core to the unit’s culture. Staffing support includes a CNA, a receptionist on weekdays, and a resource nurse as available. Telemetry monitoring and critical care teams are present 24/7. Floating to adult critical care units may be required as needed. Scheduling involves weekend rotations and working 75% of holidays. Scrub color is navy blue.
