Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/24/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a NC or compact license, EPIC proficiency, and strong telemetry skills. Responsibilities - Hospital-based Med/Surg Tele unit with a focus on stroke (neuro) patients and patients with multiple co-morbidities - Night shifts with a 3x12 schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM - Every other weekend and holiday coverage required as needed - Nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:5 to 1:6 - Use of EPIC EMR system required - Telemetry experience with remote monitoring required and on-unit monitoring preferred - Float required to all facilities within the health system - Care for a variety of med/surg and neuro patients, including those requiring specialized stroke care - Float to any campus in the health system as needed based on staffing requirements - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - All candidates must complete compliance requirements by the deadline for consideration - Modules averaging 2-4 hours completed during orientation - RTO must be requested at the time of submission; changes not accepted afterward - Work involves strict adherence to attendance policies Requirements - Active NC or compact RN license in hand - Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required - Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required - Experience with feeding tube care and management, port access, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, PICC line management, and IV starts - Experience using EPIC EMR required - Telemetry remote monitoring experience required - Must pass a P/F EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed - Experience with isolation precautions, wound care, wound vac, CVA, and nasal cannula - Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-666615.
