Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a
Med/Surg Orthopedics position on a night shift with required charge
experience and Epic proficiency. Responsibilities - Position is
based in a 29-bed orthopedic unit within a hospital setting -
Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with a focus on
orthopedic cases, joint replacements, fracture repairs,
kyphoplasties, and medical-surgical conditions - Telemetry
monitoring is available on unit - Physical therapy gym accessible
on the unit for inpatient rehab - Shift schedule is three 12-hour
night shifts per week, 7:00pm–7:30am - Work every other weekend
(Saturday and Sunday) is required - No call required - Floating to
other units and campuses as needed - Uses Epic EMR (Epic experience
required) - Responsibilities include caring for post-operative
orthopedic and medical-surgical patients, monitoring telemetry, and
supporting physical therapy needs - Modules are completed during
orientation and are unit-based (average 2-4 hours) - Zero-tolerance
policy for tardiness and unexcused absences is enforced -
Background check must show no open cases - First-time travelers are
welcome to apply - Requested time off must be declared at the time
of application and cannot be changed after submission Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
- Current BLS certification required - Minimum of 2 years RN
experience required - Charge RN experience required - Epic EMR
experience required - Must reside at least 50 miles from the
facility (no locals accepted) - Must pass a required Pass/Fail EKG
exam during compliance with two attempts allowed - Must not have
attended a school listed on the Diploma Fraud Florida Education
