Job Description Job Description Summary: Ref : DP-RN-NC-Rock Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Behavioral Health / Psychiatric Nursing Job Type: Contract/Per Diem Location: RN, Rockingham Start Date: ASAP Facility Type: Behavioral Health – Community Mental Health Center Shift Type: Days, Evenings, Nights Rate: $36.00/hour Requirements: Current RN license in NC Previous experience in behavioral health or long-term care preferred Current BLS certification Strong observational, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work independently and adapt in a dynamic care setting Responsibilities: Administer medications or delegate to qualified UAPs (CMA, RMA, med aide, med tech) Conduct physical health assessments and screenings; obtain samples as needed Communicate with MD/NP/PA for medical orders Provide individual, group, and family education on medications and health processes Document care and support activities in the EHR Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and case support Maintain patient confidentiality and caution staff on potential breaches Provide crisis intervention consultation to team members Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
