Position: The primary responsibility of the Physical Therapist is
to evaluate and reassess participants’ mobility level and other
functional abilities. Provide and recommend therapeutic exercise,
gait training, ambulation, etc. Plans and develops group exercise
programs for maintenance therapy for participants. Responsible for
the physical therapy provided at the Day Center. Work Location:
1214 Vaughn Road, Burlington, NC 27217 Schedule: Monday through
Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm Patient Population: Adult Geriatric
Offering a $5,000 Sign-On Bonus! Job Duties – Conducts an initial
assessment and scheduled reassessment of all participants;
communicates participant changes to team members. Develops
treatment program when indicated, sets goals and provides
treatment. Reviews and completes assessments and discharge
summaries. Plans and develops maintenance, exercise and therapy
programs for participants. Provides manual muscle testing;
sensory/perceptual testing; neuromotor functioning; appropriateness
of current assistive/adaptive/orthotic devices. Participates as a
member of IDT; attends staff meetings and takes part in participant
care planning; communicates any changes in participant condition to
team members. Education/Experience : Doctorate of Physical Therapy
from an accredited program. One year of experience with the frail
or elderly preferred. Must be able to demonstrate clinical
competency with geriatric population Must be able to work under
pressure Must meet a standardized set of competencies for the
specific position description established by PHSC and approved by
CMS before working independently. Excellent interpersonal, oral and
written communication skills Licensure, Registry or Certification
Required: Licensed Physical Therapist in North Carolina
Immunizations: Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and
have all immunizations up-to-date prior to beginning employment.
Pay Range: $76,424 - $102,707 ( commensurate with years of
