Opportunity – Med/Surg Neuro Stepdown RN – North Carolina Start

provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 36
or 48 hours per week, every other weekend required Highlights:
Primary neuroscience unit specializing in stroke care,
neurosurgical patients, epilepsy, subdural hematomas, and traumatic
brain injuries Patient ratios of 1:6 with a daily census of
approximately 50 patients Epic charting system with full
interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services,
pharmacy, and rapid response teams 13-week assignment with 36-hour
orientation period Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and
management, IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and cardiac/vasoactive
drip management Unit features a specialized 4-bed Epilepsy
Monitoring Unit with intermediate-level care Requirements: Minimum
2 years of nursing experience required At least 1 year of direct
Med/Surg experience (hard requirement due to unit ratios and
patient acuity) Previous travel experience required – must have
completed at least 2 successful travel contracts North Carolina or
Compact State RN license required at start Current certifications:
BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and ACLS preferred Must pass EKG
testing prior to start date Epic EMR experience strongly preferred
Willingness to float to other Med/Surg and telemetry units as
needed Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
