Job Title: Labor and Delivery RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: RN Licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, FHM, AWHONN Must-Have: - Travelers must be greater than 75 miles from the facility. - Previous charge experience required. - Must have certifications via American Heart Association. Description: We are seeking a qualified Labor and Delivery RN. The role involves working in a collaborative environment. The nurse will care for patients during labor and delivery. A patient ratio of 1:3 is expected. The traveler must clock in and out to ensure proper payment. Additional responsibilities include assisting with sterile exams and administering medications. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-risk deliveries. Candidates must be able to assist with both vaginal and cesarean deliveries. Flu vaccination is required during the flu season, with no declinations accepted. The RN will provide discharge teaching to parents and support breastfeeding. Ability to perform assessments and monitor fetal heart rates is necessary. The role may involve working weekends and on-call, depending on patient census.
