Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • Every other weekend coverage required (Saturday and Sunday) • No call responsibilities • Float required as needed to other units or Cone Health campuses • Must work Charge RN shifts as needed • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required • Previous travel experience required • Charge RN experience required • Epic charting system experience required • BLS certification required • Must pass mandatory EKG exam (2 attempts allowed) • Patient ratio experience of 5-6 patients • 24 hours of orientation provided • Care for adult and geriatric patients with orthopedic and medical surgical conditions • Telemetry monitoring responsibilities • Handle high volume patient populations including total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and surgical procedures • Manage patients with various medical devices including chest tubes, tracheostomy care, PICC lines, and wound care • Zero tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences Facility: This healthcare facility operates a 32-bed medical surgical unit that provides comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients, specializing in orthopedic and medical surgical services. The unit features telemetry monitoring capabilities and includes an on-unit physical therapy gym, allowing patients to receive adequate rehabilitation without leaving the unit.
