ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Burlington, North Carolina. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Orthopedics Job Details: • Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • Every other weekend coverage required (Saturday and Sunday) • No call responsibilities • Float required as needed to other units • Must work Charge RN shifts as needed • Minimum 2 years nursing experience required • Previous travel experience required • Charge RN experience required • BLS certification required • Epic charting system experience required • Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed) • Patient ratio experience of 5-6 patients • Care for adult and geriatric orthopedic patients as well as medical surgical patients • Work with telemetry monitoring capabilities • Handle high volume populations including total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and kyphoplasties • Manage moderate volume populations with various surgical procedures and medical patients • Work with special equipment including CPMs, Buck's traction, neck and back braces • 24 hours of orientation provided • Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences • Must complete compliance by 12 noon EST on Wednesday prior to start date Facility: This medical center operates a 32-bed orthopedic unit that provides comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients. The facility features telemetry monitoring capabilities and includes an on-unit physical therapy gym that allows patients to receive adequate rehabilitation without leaving the unit. The hospital provides extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary support.
