Job Details Position: Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist (General) Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina (ZIP 28304) — Fayetteville, NC; Cumberland County; near Fort Bragg Assignment Type: Travel / locum tenens / locum physician job Start Date: December 19, 2025 End Date: December 31, 2026 Duration: 54 weeks Shifts per Week: 5 (Monday–Friday) Shift Hours: 8-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM); estimated 36 hours/week Estimated Weekly Pay: $9,890 – $10,430 (competitive locum anesthesiologist pay) Charting / EMR: iPro EMR ORs / Case Volume: 19 anesthesia rooms; high-volume, diverse case mix Care Model: MD supervises CRNAs (1:4 ratio); MDs also perform independent cases Cross-Credentialing: Ability to cross-credential at affiliated hospitals required Case Types: General anesthesia, cardiac anesthesia, neuro, ortho, OB, pediatric anesthesia Overtime: Not expected; may be offered as needed Job Requirements M.D. or D.O. from an accredited College of Medicine Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Anesthesiology (or equivalent) Board Certification in Anesthesiology (required) Current, unrestricted North Carolina medical license (required at time of application) ECFMG / FLEX verification if applicable for international graduates Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as an anesthesiologist; experience in cardiac, neuro, ortho, OB, or pediatric anesthesia preferred Ability to cross-credential at affiliated hospitals and work within a team-based perioperative environment Strong communication skills and experience supervising CRNAs and perioperative staff Responsibilities Provide high-quality perioperative anesthesia care for a broad range of surgical cases including general, cardiac, neuro, ortho, OB, and pediatrics Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments, obtain/verify consent, and discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients Perform safe induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia and manage airway and hemodynamic needs Monitor patients’ physiological status during procedures and perform clinical interventions as needed Supervise, collaborate with, and provide oversight to CRNAs and perioperative nursing staff Assist in directing and coordinating departmental activities and participate in quality and safety initiatives Document patient care accurately and timely in the iPro EMR system Why Choose Fayetteville, NC?
