Cardiovascular Technologist Location: South Hill, VA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,606 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/27/2026 About the Position Job Title: Echo Tech Profession: Radiology/Cardiology Specialty: Cardiac Sonographer Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Must have a valid state license Certifications: ARDMS RDCS AE or CCI RCS, BLS Must-Have: Experience with 3-D Echo, TEE, and various echocardiographic procedures Description: The ideal candidate will be able to perform both cardiac and vascular studies. The shift is from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Two years of experience is required. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. The department is responsible for echo and vascular studies, stress tests, and EKG management. Adult-only echo studies are performed. Inpatient studies are performed bedside, while outpatients are examined in the outpatient lab. Monthly echo volume includes approximately 225 transthoracic echocardiograms, 4 transesophageal echocardiograms, and 6 stress echoes. The patient population is predominantly over 40 years of age. Common patient diagnoses include chest pain, stroke, cardiomyopathy, hypertension, shortness of breath, and atrial fibrillation. Preferred experience includes vascular procedures such as arterial mapping, graft studies, and Doppler studies. Candidates will need to float within their scope of practice if necessary.
