Duties Accurately interprets, evaluates and dispenses
pharmaceuticals to the nursing units including checking for
appropriateness of therapy. Controls pharmacy inventory. Maintains
accurate control medication inventory and records. Is knowledgeable
of and follows laws and regulations pertaining to pharmacy as set
forth by FDA, Virginia Board of Pharmacy, and Federal law. Assures
all records and reports required by Federal and State law and
facility policies are kept current and accurate. Provides
information to facility physicians and other facility staff on all
aspects of pharmacy and pharmaceutical care. Assures that facility
policies are adhered to by the pharmacy department. May assist in
writing policy or procedures for the pharmacy department. All other
duties assigned by the Pharmacy Manager. May be required to assist
the agency or state government generally in the event of an
emergency declaration by the Governor. Minimum Qualifications High
School Diploma or equivalent. B.S. Pharmacy with current Virginia
license. At least have one year of experience as a pharmacist in
charge in an inpatient pharmacy setting a plus. Additional
