Job Description:
We are looking for a hardworking, innovative and collaborative
Senior Payroll Technical Analyst to join our team. In this fully
remote role you will support the post implementation Workday
Payroll solution with Labcorp through product and implementation
expertise. The ideal candidate for this position should have
extensive experience implementing or supporting payroll systems,
requirements gathering, configuration, data conversion, and
testing. You should be detail oriented, self-motivated, proactive,
results-oriented and able to successfully partner with key stake
holders and other project team members. Job Responsibilities
- Lead the administration of Workday Payroll
- Create and maintain efficient payroll system workflows and
tasks
- Own and design the payroll system requirements and business
process changes
- Responsible for ongoing system testing for all new
functionality
- Serve as a lead for Workday upgrades - collaborate with other
HR functions/Workday Module Owners to plan for upgrade, build test
scripts/UAT plans, testing/validation and deployment for new
functionality
- Oversight of end to end support of testing including
documenting test plan, conducting unit testing, facilitating User
Acceptance Testing and regression testing
- Lead new business implementation to ensure successful
integration into payroll system
- Manage the day to day workflows and operation of the HRIM
functions, with focus on audit and system integrity
- Provide technical support and training to end user of the
payroll systems
- Identify process and infrastructure needs to support change and
consider broad range of internal/external factors when making
decisions
- Ensure data flow into the payroll system is calculating
accurately; Data flow from other Workday Functional areas include
Compensation, Time Tracking, and Absence
- Partner with the Payroll Team on system and process
improvements to streamline payroll operations
- Create/maintain documentations for support processes that
impact Workday operations; (ensure desk side materials, job aids,
SOPs on system configuration, business process admin as well as
other areas are up to date)
- Evaluate existing business processes and recommend
solutions
- Develop and maintain financial & payroll reporting
Minimum Experience
- 4+ years of Workday payroll work experience
- 2+ Years' Workday Payroll implementation experience with a
Workday partner firm for large matrix enterprise
- Previous experience leading Workday payroll implementation
projects
- Knowledge in requirements gathering, designing, prototyping and
testing of Workday Payroll solutions according to requirements
- Advanced knowledge in Workday payroll configuration
- Advanced knowledge in the creation and maintenance of Workday
earning and deduction codes.
- Proficient in EIB processing and troubleshooting
- Proficient in Excel
- Advanced knowledge with pay component related calculations
(Conditional, Logic, Instance Set, Aggregate, Comparison,
etc.)
- Proficient with Workday tax configuration
- Proficient with Workday year-end tasks and processing
- Proficient with Workday Payroll Accounting Configuration
- Proficient in Workday reporting for Payroll/ Financial
Accounting (Composite, Matrix, Advanced Reports)
- Basic integration knowledge to provide specs to integrations
teams.
- Basic understanding of Workday Security as it relates to the
Payroll module.
- Experience in payroll processing life-cycle within Workday (pay
inputs, calculations, retro processing, complete, settlement) and
pay calculation troubleshooting
- Basic understanding business process configuration
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to
frequent change
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication
skills
- Be a problem solver! You must be able to find solutions to
difficult problems that arise in Workday with ample research
skills.
- 4 Year Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems
or Human Resources Management
- Workday Payroll Certification (highly desirable)
- Subject matter expert in Payroll (US)
- CPP or FPC preferred
- Global Payroll Experience
- Passion for exceptional customer service
- Able to demonstrate functional experience Payroll, Time
Tracking, & Absence.
- Able to work in highly collaborative environment
Salary Range: $100,000 - $155,000Benefits: All job offers will be
based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience,
applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and
market data. Regular, full-time or part-time employees working 20
or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits
