Job Description:

Labcorp is recruiting a Team Lead, Sr. IT Programmer/Analyst for a dynamic team in RTP, NC. This position can also potentially be Remote based.

The IT Specialty Systems CMBP Team of Laboratory Corporation of America (Labcorp) has an opportunity for talented Sr. Programmer/Analyst to join a motivated and productive team in delivering enterprise-level solutions. The ideal candidate has successful experience defining software systems, developing new code and supporting existing systems primarily in Cache' to support software applications to achieve business requirements. The professional performs development duties such as coding and testing these applications. The core skills that the job requires include familiarity with applicable data privacy practices and laws, a keen eye for details, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Also, the job requires a college diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or software engineering.

The Ideal candidate for this job will need the following requirement.

Responsibilities:

  • Track the progress of content through internal workflow management tools and manage the accuracy of content through internal quality control tools.
  • Work and manage several projects utilizing SDLC methodology.
  • Manage all software changes/installation/verification and library functions during the development and support of Laboratory Information Management Systems.
  • Maintain, debug, and manage software development and provide accurate forecasting, scheduling, and production planning.
  • Create Cache' programs that establish new lab workflows and modify existing workflows as needed.
  • Develop and support complex store procedures that work with third party instruments and devices for diverse lab workflows.
  • Implement and administrate a new workflow process through Microsoft SharePoint and Team application.
  • Experience in setup files creation and installation.
  • Perform data cleansing and migration operations.
  • Assist the development team until the system is migrated to UAT.
  • Serves as a primary developer on medium to large complex projects
  • Successfully engages in multiple initiatives simultaneously

    Requirements:
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills (required)
    • Able to work independently, within a team and are self-motivated
    • Experience supporting Agile Scrum and Waterfall software development life cycles.
    • Communicates clearly and effectively; written and verbal
    • Able to collaborate and communicate effectively with Lab operations, pathologists, medical directors on requirements, requirement efficiencies, requirement priority and delivered value.
    • Fosters good working relationships with all departments while managing business expectation levels.
    • Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal / external customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements.
    • Promotes, represents, and shares knowledge and experience with team and operations. Assists with removing impediments.
    • Active participant in daily scrum, representing documented requirements
    • Able to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs

      License/Certification/Education: Normally requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical, business or science related discipline, such as Computer Science/Engineering.
      • Minimum of 6 years' development experience.
      • College degree or equivalent experience.
      • Experience working in a commercial medical lab a plus
      • Agile Scrum training or certification a plus
