Job Title: Java Full Stack Developer

The ideal candidate will possess experience and demonstrated successes in the following:

Required Skills & Experience:

Strong experience with Java, JSP, servlets, and Spring Framework.
Familiarity with WebSphere Liberty and OpenShift environments.
Willingness to work on legacy technologies with a clear transition path to modern tech.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Desired Skills & Experience:

Basic understanding of microservices architecture and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
Node.js development.
Knowledge of modernization and cloud migration projects.


What You Will Be Doing:

We are seeking a versatile Senior Full Stack Java Developer to join the team responsible for supporting and modernizing Sales portals. These portals, critical sales tools, are transitioning from legacy Java-based technology to a modern AWS Node.js environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a developer with a solid background in Java and Spring Framework to gain exposure to cutting-edge cloud technologies and microservices architecture. This role involves a balanced mix of maintaining and enhancing legacy systems (75%) while contributing to the adoption of new technologies (25%). Over the next one-two years, this ratio will shift as the team moves entirely to AWS Node.js.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and enhance existing Java-based applications using WebSphere Liberty, JSP, and servlets.
Support and troubleshoot legacy systems running in OpenShift and WebSphere Liberty environments.
Collaborate with the team to migrate traditional web applications to a cloud-native AWS Node.js platform.
Participate in developing new microservices architecture.
Learn and adopt AWS technologies and frameworks as part of the modernization initiative.
Work closely with a team of several developers to meet project goals and deadlines.
Contribute to the evolving roadmap by providing feedback and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
