Job Description:
We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst specializing in data
analytics for architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC)
firms . This role focuses on analyzing complex project, financial,
and operational data; integrating data from AEC-specific platforms
and SaaS systems; and delivering actionable insights through modern
analytics solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong Power BI
and data modeling expertise with hands-on experience supporting
project-based professional services organizations , and can work
effectively with architects, project managers, and leadership to
improve visibility, efficiency, and decision-making. Key
Responsibilities Partner with both operational and project delivery
teams to understand business processes, data needs, and performance
challenges Analyze and document requirements related to project
delivery, utilization, financial performance, scheduling, and
operational metrics Design, develop, and maintain Power BI
dashboards, reports, and semantic models tailored to AEC business
needs Integrate data from Deltek Vision / Vantagepoint ,
Autodesk-related platforms, Resource Planning, and other AEC SaaS
systems using APIs and data connectors Work with Dataverse, SQL,
and Azure data services to support structured and scalable data
solutions Perform data transformation, cleansing, validation, and
modeling across multiple project and enterprise data sources
Develop and optimize DAX measures and calculations to support
project, financial, and operational reporting Conduct building,
space, or project-related data analysis where applicable (e.g.,
utilization, space planning, performance metrics) Translate
analytical findings into clear recommendations for leadership,
project teams, and operations Support the design and development of
analytics solutions that align with professional services workflows
and best practices Collaborate closely with cross-functional
professional teams, IT, and leadership to continuously improve data
quality and insights Requirements 4 years of experience as a
Technical Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar
analytics-focused role Advanced experience with Power BI ,
including data modeling, DAX, and performance optimization Strong
experience working with SQL , Dataverse , and Azure-based data
platforms Proven experience integrating and analyzing data from
multiple SaaS platforms and APIs Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex,
multi-source datasets Ability to translate AEC business needs into
technical solutions and actionable insights Excellent communication
skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and
non-technical stakeholders Preferred AEC Experience & Skills Prior
experience working in an architecture, engineering, or construction
(AEC) firm Knowledge of Deltek Vision and/or Deltek Vantagepoint ,
including project, financial, and labor data Experience integrating
or working with Autodesk Platform Services (APS / Forge) or
Autodesk-related datasets Familiarity with architectural,
engineering, or project delivery data , such as fees, budgets,
schedules, utilization, and project performance Experience with
building, space, or facilities data analysis Physical Demands The
