Position Overview: We are seeking qualified Onsite Multilingual Interpreters throughout the City of Chicago to provide in-person interpretation services. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and at least one of the high-demand languages (e.g., Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese, Arabic, Burmese, Korean, Somali, and others), and will have professional interpreting experience in medical, legal, educational, or community environments. Key Responsibilities: Provide accurate, confidential, and impartial interpretation between limited-English-proficient individuals and English speakers. Interpret consecutively and/or simultaneously as required in diverse settings. Adhere to professional ethics, including client confidentiality and impartiality. Support clients with cultural competence and sensitivity. Accurately complete daily logs, timesheets, and activity reports as needed. Qualifications: Fluency in English and at least one other spoken language. Minimum of 1 year of professional onsite interpreting experience preferred. Medical, legal, or community interpreting certification (CCHI, NBCMI, or court certification) is a plus . High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Punctuality, reliability, and professionalism are essential. Additional Requirements: Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
