Location: Hillsborough Hospital
Hours: Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm (hours and
days subject to change based on departmental need)
Technologist will be responsible for performing CT and
diagnostic x-ray exams to include portables, and OR coverage as
needed. CT credentials required, but credentials for multiple
modalities are preferred. (CT, Diagnostic, MR)
The technologist performs CT examinations using
standardized protocols to assist in diagnostic evaluation and
treatment of patients. Exams are performed under the
direction of the radiologist and in accordance with radiation
safety procedures. Direct patient care experience is
essential. The technologist will evaluate studies for
technical image quality, complete necessary paperwork, maintain
accurate patient records, transmit images to PACS and verify
transmittal. Technologists are expected to assist in other
radiology areas as needed, train new personnel and student
technologists, assist with clerical functions and maintain a neat
and orderly work space.
The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and
customer service skills, be highly motivated, patient centered,
demonstrate initiative, have excellent communication skills, the
ability to multi-task, be detail oriented, and a strong team
player. Candidates must be registered with the American
Registry of Radiologic Technologists or be registry eligible.

Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological
Science or completion within 3 months at time of application. Must
be registered with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences
or registry eligible.
For registry eligible candidates: must provide a copy of diploma
from accredited program. Requires advanced certification in CT
within one year of employment. Successful candidates must become
registered within one year of employment and must maintain their
registry status and continuing education requirements annually.
All imaging specialists are required to maintain current
competency in HCP BLS. Prior education, training and experience
that provides the ability to perform the assigned tasks.
