Job Overview: The Associate Director, Workforce Analytics is primarily responsible for analyzing HR metrics. The incumbent will partner with internal customers including HR leaders and Business leaders to understand business objectives and how HR data can enable the business to achieve those objectives. We are looking for someone with deep level of subject matter expertise in predictive analytics and with the ability to implement solutions using HR data and analytics that can facilitate business decisions. Working with minimal supervision, the incumbent will lead Covances long-term analytics technology strategy: developing the business case, establishing governance, and managing execution. Managing the HR Workforce Analytics team and working closely with other teams like HRIM, IT, and third-party technical resources, the incumbent will build and deploy analytics technologies and will lead the transition of existing metrics into the new framework. + Develop the workforce analytics technology strategy and create a business case to support the proposed solution, including business risk assessments, return on investments, timelines and schedules. + Ensure that solutions are directionally consistent with the HR Technology roadmap, strategy and operating principles. + Enable business leaders to predict trends by implementing workforce planning best practices. Work closely with HR leaders as well as business leaders to help them analyze the data and leverage analytics to find areas of improvements, new benchmarks, various organizational measures. + Conduct data mining of HR data from multiple sources and analyze the data to deliver meaningful metrics, measurements and reports. Create dashboards by leveraging various data visualization tools and technologies that tells the story about not only the current state but also various measurements against the industry benchmarks. + Ensure operational excellence in all of the deliverables including, but not limited to regulatory compliance reporting, reorganization, employee engagement, various type of internal or external audits, etc. that the Workforce Analytics team is accountable for. + Identify data collection tools, data sources and technical solutions to gain operational efficiency. + Build a solid partnership with other functional areas like IT and Finance to ensure that HR metrics are aligned with Finance metrics. Education/Qualifications: + 4 Year Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science or Human Resources Management + Project Management Certification and/or Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus Experience: + 7-10 years of experience in a lead Workforce Analytics role with hands-on experience working with HR data + Experience in generating dashboards that provide insights regarding trends and gaps. Must have the ability to articulate the insights gained from the data to HR and Business stakeholders + 5+ years of experience managing people + 6-8 years of experience in Reporting & Analytics within various Human Capital Management systems like Workday, PeopleSoft HRMS, etc.; + 6-8 years of experience in various data visualization tool like Tableau, Spotfire, etc. + 6-8 years of experience in various reporting tools like Cognos, Workday Prism, Data Warehouse, SAP HANA, etc. + Strong knowledge of Human Capital Management systems and deep understanding of the HR function and processes like Payroll, Benefit, Compensation, Talent Management, Recruiting, etc. to produce meaningful insight for decision making + Strong project management, problem solving and analytical skills + Experience with all aspects of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, support and documentation + Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with individuals at all levels within the organization + Experience working in a global environment + Demonstrated ability to work and influence at the C level + Ability to thrive under pressure and deadlines + Comfortable with ambiguity and navigating a complex matrix environment + Excellent communication, presentation, influencing and facilitation skills + Ability to prioritize and to set priorities for others Covance is committed to diversity in the workplace and is an equal opportunity employer (Minority/Female/Individual with Disability/Veteran/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity).
