ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Avaya sales is on the leading edge of unified and contact center telecommunication Cloud solutions with some of the largest customers around the world. A critical component is growing the current and future generation of Avaya sales people. This role will join the North America sales organization reporting into the Director of NA Sales Business & Planning. The role will be responsible for leading, mentoring and developing the annual Avaya Sales Academy classes as future sales associates.

To be successful in the role, the ideal candidate will have experience in creating onboarding, training and soft skill content for delivery through different formats. They should have a proven track record in managing pre-sales roles responsible for qualifying suspects/prospects and managing opportunities through the sales cycle to deal success. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to connect with new employees, and their peers.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

· Daily touch points with each sales academy associate to align on tasks and priorities

· Creation, delivery and follow up on new sales employee training across a defined checklist of skills

· Setting and review of relevant sales KPI’s for the academy sales associates quarterly

· Coaching and mentoring to grow and develop skills, including role play feedback

· Ownership and management of strategic projects and initiatives that span across the NA sales organization

· Reaching across functional areas for opportunities to have team contribute toward Avaya goal

ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE

· Demonstrated examples of onboarding, developing, and leading a high performing sales team

· Strong communication and presentation skills that keeps the audience engaged with a clear call to action

· Strong understanding of the sales cycle from lead qualification through deal closure

· Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and KPI’s

· Demonstrated examples of creating a training and onboarding curriculum for pre-sales roles

· A passion for technology and helping create the best customer experiences

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

· Familiarity with Salesforce or other related CRM tools

· Strong written and verbal communication skills catered to the audience

· Comfort and ability in presenting in front of different audiences a concise and clear message

· Interpersonal skills to connect with different persona’s and leadership levels

· Organized and disciplined in meeting commitments

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

· Position will be full time

· Located in Durham, NC. Will consider remote office for the right candidate
