Analyst Global Corporate Development
Overview: Reporting to the Director
of Global Corporate Development, the Analyst works closely
with leaders and teammates across Corporate, Finance, and
Operations functions. The Analyst will be responsible for
supporting business combinations and related strategic projects by
assisting in the sourcing, evaluation, and execution of mergers,
acquisitions, and joint venture opportunities, and will be a key
member of LabCorp corporate development function. The Analyst will
work with a group of highly motivated teammates with consulting,
investment banking, and clinical experience and will be expected to
successfully manage multiple work streams and effectively
communicate analyses within the team and with senior
The Analyst in this role is responsible
- Manage and perform
rigorous analysis of operational and financial impact of potential
transactions and valuation analysis (comparable companies,
precedent transactions, discounted cash flow, and related
- Provide analytic support
in planning and executing of strategic growth initiatives spanning
all facets of the M&A process, including identification,
assessment, due diligence, negotiations, and closing.
- Participate in and assist
with preparation for meetings and due diligence sessions with
target company management and external investment advisors (e.g.,
investment bankers, lawyers, and accountants).
- Help Develop memoranda,
presentations, and detailed financial analyses that is presented to
- Support adhoc projects
and other administrative tasks to enhance the group's
infrastructure and improve connectivity with LabCorp business
- Enhance organization
reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and
different requests, and exploring opportunities to add value to job
- Bachelor's degree in
Economics, Finance, or related analytical field from an accredited
- Some direct transaction /
valuation experience desired.
- Financial / analytical
skills: strong quantitative background; detailed knowledge of
financial statements and valuation methodologies; ability to create
detailed financial and operational models.
- Presentation skills:
comfortable assembling detailed analyses and comprehensive
strategic rationale in PowerPoint.
- Communication skills:
ability to research, synthesize, and concisely convey work plans,
analyses, and transaction rationale. High energy and ability to
thrive in a very fast-paced environment with multiple
- Management skills: able
to drive multiple pieces of work forward
- Self-starter with
ability to think and work independently and problem solve.
License/Certification/Education: Normally a B.S. in Accounting or
related field and 1-3 years of experience.
