What you will be doing:

This is a key sales role on our Consumer team, owning a book of business and partnering with account management and marketing to drive revenue.

  • Build and own a book of business, cultivating relationships with clients at multiple levels at both the agency and client level. CPG experience is highly preferred
  • Drive advertising revenue by prospecting, closing new business, managing renewals, and creating media plans & pitch presentations. Generate business through regular outreach to new clients and advertising agencies with meetings, calls, presentations, events, entertainment, and other related efforts.
  • Meet and exceed a quarterly sales quota by selling in-app display media, video, email, social, and custom advertising solutions
  • Develop a strong understanding of Ovia's mission, products, and advertising opportunities & master our brand sell
  • Work with internal teams to provide excellent relationship management through regular updates of current campaigns, performance reports, and recommendations for renewals and upsells
  • Negotiate the terms, conditions, and pricing of advertising campaigns with clients
  • 3 years minimum in an advertising sales role, preferably working on accounts and brands for a millennial and Gen Z female audience. Health & wellness, lifestyle and/or agency experience a plus
  • Possess a hunter mentality and drive deals from start to close in a new business environment through selling creatively and strategically
  • Multitask and communicate efficiently both internally and externally
  • Experience in advertising & media sales with the ability to develop, present and sell through high level media strategy and marketing plans to C-Level clients & advertising agency teams
  • A self-starter with an existing track record and network of advertising agency and clients is required
  • Solid understanding of advertising and direct marketing performance metrics, and a firm grasp on media research tools and how and when to most effectively use them
  • Ability to manage sales pipeline and achieve goals on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Digital & mobile sales experience is required. Agency experience a plus
  • Programmatic sales, video and/or International sales experience is preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce.com, Google sheets/slides and media planning software (Prisma, etc.) is preferred
  • Where comfortable, willing to travel, as needed, for client meetings and/or industry events
