Job Description:
LabCorp is seeking an Account Specialist to join our Customer
Service team in Burlington, NC. This position will work with Child
Support Offices and other government agencies, hospitals, clinics,
private individuals needing DNA testing services, and internal
customers to ensure that all client requests and inquiries are
addressed in a timely and accurate manner. The Account Specialist
will provide product education and handle a wide variety of
questions while ensuring a world-class customer experience.Work
Shift/Schedule: 1st shift Monday - Friday 9:30am - 6:30pmJob
Duties/Responsibilities
- Handle incoming calls from government accounts, private
individuals, and other professionals
- Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner
- Sell DNA testing services
- Maintain client relationships
- Act as a liaison between LabCorp and the clients/patients that
we serve
- Resolve routine customer requests with products or services via
inbound, outbound calls, or the Internet
- Speak with customers in a courteous, friendly and professional
manner using protocol procedures
- Inquire, clarify and confirm customer requirements and
understanding of the solution
- Provide additional customer education and information as
needed
- Qualify and establish inbound new customers requesting
LabCorp's products and services
- Work in multiple databases to research complex issues and
questions
- Review test forms for accuracy and report any
discrepancies
- Participate in activities designed to improve customer
satisfaction and business performance
- Perform administrative support to assure HIPAA
complianceEducation/Qualifications/Skills
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, but prefer an
Associate's Degree with 2-3 years of customer service
experience
- Previous experience in a customer service role required;
preferably in a call center
- Prior experience in the healthcare industry preferable
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs is required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent
ability to listen and respond
- Must be courteous with strong customer service orientation
- Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills
- Strong flexibility and the ability to manage and adapt to
