Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Implement, and support our network enterprise:
    • Palo Alto Networks NGFW
    • Cisco ASA\Firepower
    • Cisco Route\Switch
    • Cisco WiFi
    • Meraki Switch\Security Appliance
    • Cisco Umbrella DNS\WSG
    • Cisco and Palo Alto VPN
    • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and administrators to ensure a reliable, high-performance technology environment
    • Recommend network enhancements and purchases
    • Test and assess network performance and security, identifying and remediating any weak areas
    • Proactively research best practices and make recommendations for improvement
    • Develop, set up, and/or maintain procedures and automated processes to monitor and respond to the performance and security status networks and network equipment
    • Participate in on-call support to address critical issues related to assigned duties
    • Create and/or maintain clear and comprehensive technical and administrative documentation
    • Adhere to change management policies and procedures

      • 5+ years of experience as a network security engineer
      • 5+ years of experience as a network engineer
      • Ability to think and work analytically
      • Ability to work independently
      • Ability to document policies, procedures, and technical diagrams
      • Ability to manage a substantial unplanned workload with short deadlines
      • Must be capable of working with limited direct supervision
      • Solid knowledge of encryption protocols
      • Advanced knowledge of security best practices
      • Excellent customer service skills
      • Excellent written and verbal communication in the English language
      • Ability to clearly and concisely articulate technical matters to both technical and non-technical audiences
      • Great relationship building skills
      • Ability to lead projects through complete project life cycle
      • Advanced knowledge of VPN, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, UDP, QoS, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS
      • Frequent night and weekend work to support projects and operations
      • On call rotation
      • Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
