We are looking for highly motivated applicants to join our Electrophoresis team. You will be trained on gel electrophoresis technique and interpretation of Serum Protein Electrophoresis and Immunofixation for the detection of Multiple Myeloma, and Alkaline Phosphatase Isoenzymes. Work Schedule: 2nd shift (Sunday-Thursday, 5pm-1:30am)This position is eligible for a 10% shift differential based on 2nd shift hours.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology or a related life science
• No previous laboratory experience is required
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
• Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen
  
  Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
  • Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
  • Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
  • Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
  • Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
  • Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
