Job Summary: Assists with prospective patients and families by explaining the organizations services and programs, insurance information, admission criteria and related information. The Referral Center Intake Specialist will begin the referral process, coordinating and providing clerical support for admissions and patient care services. Assists with incoming and outgoing mail and data entry. Education/Experience: * Associate degree or equivalent work experience. * Minimum of one-year office experience in a position using medical secretary skills. * Successful completion of administrative program preferred. * Computer/data processing training/experience preferred. * Healthcare experience preferred. * Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. * Ability to type 50 wpm preferred. Other: Valid state-issued driver's license required. Must carry automobile liability insurance at limits required by agency. Must have own transportation.
