If so, LabCorp wants to speak with you about exciting opportunities to join our team as a Technologist Trainee for Immunology in Burlington NC. In this position you will work in a fast paced, customer focused, and challenging environment, and will be a part of our overall mission at LabCorp: "Improving Health, Improving Lives".
The Toxicology department offers experience with many types of analytical instrumentation such as GC, GCMS, HPLC, ICPMS and LCMSMS. Additionally , this role will have direct training and experience on both automated and manual extraction methods. Position will utilize Tecan and Hamilton Star systems to perform high-volume extraction protocols.
Work schedule: 2nd Shift (Sunday-Wednesday from 3pm-11:30pm)This position is eligible for a 10% Shift Differential for 2nd Shift hours.
Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical or biological sciences, OR any Bachelor's degree which includes 16 credit hours in biological sciences, 16 credit hours in chemical sciences and one college level math course
  • No previous laboratory experience is required (candidates with at least one year of clinical laboratory testing experience will be considered for the Technologist title)
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Familiarity with laboratory information systems are a plus
  • High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
  • Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screenJob Duties/Responsibilities:
    • Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
    • Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
    • Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
    • Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
    • Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
