  • 3x12s, Nights, 7p-7a
  • Weekend Rotation, Holidays as needed.
  • Staff are scheduled for a 6-Week period via a self-assisted schedule through Optilink.
  • Staff are distributed within the schedule based on departmental need and based on patient work intensity, skill mix and previous assignments.
  • Minimum 2 yrs exp required. FIRST TIME TRAVELERS - OK!
  • Focus on the cardiac patient (Congestive Heart Failure, Acute Coronary Syndrome, Arrythmias, pre and post cardiac catheterization with and without intervention, rule out myocardial infarction, arrythmias, syncope, pacemaker placement).
  • Secondary focus on respiratory problems (ex. COPD, pneumonia, Bipap)
  • 2A is a 30-private bed Cardiac Medical Progressive Care department that provides care 7 days a week 24 hours a day.
  • Rooms are remotely monitored by the Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department (CCMD).

    • Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias
    • Telemetry - on the unit monitoring
    • Pre/Post Cardiac Cath
    • Peripheral Line Care and Management
    • PICC line management
    • Manage Cardiac drips- no titration
    • Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration
    • Procedural Sedation Administration
    • Titrate Cardiac drips - Reference removed
    • Titrate Vasoactive drips - Reference removed
    • Chest tubes-Emerson, Pleur-evac
    • External CPAP BIPAP
    • Tracheostomy Management
      • Schedule Information
      • 3x12s, Nights, 7p-7a
