Job Description:

LabCorp is seeking a Project Specialist, to serve as the initial point of contact for divisional sales representatives in Atlantic Division Sales organization to assist with daily problem resolution. The ideal candidate will be a highly-motivated self-starter with experience in supporting and dealing with a variety of duties as requested by one or more regional sales representatives or managers. Candidate must be able to perform overall daily problem resolution and serve as a resource for the divisional sales staff. Candidate must be able to answer telephones, maintain logs/records, proficiency with numbers, research information, time management, train employees, use computerized databases, and possess exceptional organizational, communication and computer skills, both written and verbal, and must provide superior customer service. Must be a strong leader, who is able to work independently. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have strong multitasking skills and the ability to solve problems creatively and efficiently. Must also be able to deal with a variety of changing situations under stress and against tight deadlines Candidate must have the ability to pay close attention to detail while monitoring data, analyzing, and preparing reports, as well as providing regional sales management with supporting documentation to make better informed decisions. Must be able to manage time well and handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Duties to be performed by Project Specialist are as follows, but not limited to: Data Mart Reporting * Utilization Reports -- Main point of contact for monthly Utilization Reports or individual special requests for utilization reports for divisional sales representatives. * Turn-Around-Time (TAT) Reports -- Main point of contact for monthly Utilization Reports or individual special requests for utilization reports for divisional sales representatives based on individual client and/or sales needs. Daily Critical & Problem Resolution from Field * Specimen Issues -- Investigate, research, resolve and provide feedback to divisional sales representatives on individual client specimen concerns. * Client and Patient Billing Issues -- Investigate, resolve and provide feedback to divisional sales representatives on client and patient specimen issues * Pricing Lookups & Inquiries -- Serve as point of contact for divisional sales representatives to contact for quick resolution and response on pricing inquiries while in the field. * Pull Client Bills, patient results, patient bills, reqs, etc. from document direct * Test Lookups & Inquiries - Serve as point of contact for divisional sales representatives to contact for quick resolution and response on test inquiries while in the field. Returned Mail * Assist Division Customer Master team with sorting, researching returned mail/bad addresses for correct client address information that has been returned from the postal service. * Submit necessary updates via CRM portal Billing Concerns * Credits, Adjustments, Bill Corrections -- Serve as point of contact for divisional sales representatives for assistance to include submitting any necessary paperwork for billing adjustments and follow-up to ensure credits, adjustments and/or billing corrections are completed in a timely manner. * Unbillable Requests - Investigate, research, resolve any unbillable requests based on individual client and/or sales needs. Special Projects / Other Duties as needed or assigned by Divisional Sales Management staff. Administrative: Answer telephones, maintain logs/records, organizational skills, proficiency with numbers, research information, time management, train employees, use computerized databases, written and verbal communications. Machine: Calculator, personal computer. Physical Demands: Speech clarity, utilization of fingers and hands, standing-remaining on one's feet in an upright position, sitting-remaining in the normal seated position, handling-seizing, holding, grasping and possible casual to regular lifting of up to 50 pounds. License/Certification/Education: Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, but prefer an Associate's Degree w/3-5 years LabCorp experience.
